Inground Swimming Pools
Inground Swimming Pools Attract Family And Friends
There is nothing quite like the sounds of happiness churning in the water of an inground swimming pool, especially if it is in your own backyard. It seems that no matter what mood a person is in when they hit the water it suddenly shifts into high-gear fun.
Make no mistake, an inground swimming pool is a lot of work and a lot of time and there are a few people who consider them a hole in the yard into which you throw money. However, the sounds of family and friends frolicking in the water on a hot summer day, makes them worth every drop of sweat and every penny of expense.
Planning to install an inground pool is half the fun. You can choose the shape of the design and make the choices of heated or not, as well as the location, size of your new deck and type and style of the privacy fence you plan to put up around it. Not just for privacy, the fence also serves as a safety barrier to keep small children from finding their way into your pool while unattended. A lock on the fence door when you are not going to be home is probably a good idea as well.
Installing a Deck
Many people surround their inground swimming pools with a wooden deck for its appearance, but soon realize that wood and water do not work together for long. Many others opt for a concrete deck for their inground swimming pool and it can be poured at the same time the pool walls are installed and become part of the pool itself. Having a rough surface on the cement may seem like it would be rough on the feet, but it also stops worse injuries from slips and falls.
Heating Your Pool
A heated pool is always nice to dive into after a hard days work, and how the water is heated is a matter of financial choice. Typically, water from the pool is pumped through a heater, fired by gas or electric, and the heated water is returned to the inground swimming pool. This constant cycling is sometimes routed through the pools filtering system to keep the water clean as well as heated.
Keeping Your Inground Swimming Pool Clean
While the typical method of keeping the pool clean of bacteria is through the use of chlorine, many are switching to bromide-based chemicals for their pool as it is said to be less harsh on the eyes and skin, but it requires more and the expense is a little higher. |
